GluQuant A1c is a benchtop fully automated HbA1c analyzer based on Ion Exchange Chromatography with HPLC principle. Haemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) is a very useful test in monitoring and diagnosing diabetic patients. It is a measurement of the mean amount of blood glucose present in the patient over the previous 3 months and is therefore useful as a monitoring and diagnostic tool

Innovative Features

Principle

GluQuant A1c uses the established international reference method of ion exchange chromatography with HPLC principle.
HPLC is recommended principle by WHO, recognized as “Gold Standard” as it has high sensitivity and stable performance.
• Eliminate unstable and variant HbA1c interferences.
• HbA1c (NGSP and IFCC), HbF, eAG can also be tested at same time.


It uses microcolumns and reagents to separate the HbA1c from the nonglycated fraction.
The analyzer uses ion exchange chromatography in conjunction with gradient elution to separate human haemoglobin subtypes and variants from haemolysed whole blood.The separated haemoglobin fractions are monitored by means of absorption of light and the chromatogram obtained is recorded and stored by the internal memory. A software programme in the instrument performs the analysis of the chromatogram and generates a results report
